Gourdaments and The Gourd Gallery are completing another successful year of gourd adventures. 2007 began with a fantastic workshop by Bonnie Gibson that filled up in record time.

Phoebe the Frog and Penguin ornaments were introduced to the wholesale market this year. Phoebe (short for amphibian) came to the market starry eyed and ready for love. She was embraced by gourd lovers everywhere.

Penguin, also anxious to meet the market, has proved himself to be a holiday favorite.

Looking ahead to 2008:

I have many gourd ideas brewing for 2008. I am expanding my tried and true designs to include lidded boxes for jewelry and keepsakes. I am also working on the concept of transforming a gourd into the image of Mother Nature. Bird designs and lions with wood shaving manes are also swirling around in imagination.

I am very excited about being on the cover of Gift Shop Magazine in Winter 2008! I would like to thank Robin Smith for introducing my work to the magazine and Mike Mathhews for taking such wonderful photographs.

Devon Cameron has successfully opened The Gourd Gallery in Sugar Loaf, New York.

The gallery collection includes Gourd Spirit Masks by Ann Light, birdhouses handcrafted by the Amish, Gourds from Meadowbrooke Gourds, Mate gourds from Peru, African gourd instruments and decorative bowls, traditional Chinese decorated gourds, and, of course, Gourdaments.

Stop by and lose yourself in a world of wonder and everlasting gourd gifts.
